Suzie Cro
January 18, 2024
In this webinar Dr Suzie Cro explores public partner’s perspectives on the importance of discussing estimands when designing a trial and presents a co-developed practical tool that helps explain what an estimand is and what impact it may have in trial results.
NIHR benefit-risk working group webinar: Bayesian multi criteria preference modelling for benefit risk assessments
Ed Waddingham
June 28, 2022
At a NIHR benefit-risk working group webinar, Dr Ed Waddingham presented his work from his recent PhD on Bayesian estimation of preference weights for quantitative benefit-risk assessments or other multi-criteria decision problems.
The talk was illustrated with examples using the Bayesian MCMC approach in BUGS software.
MRC NIHR TMRP Estimand Workshop

Dr Rachel Phillips and Professor Deborah Ashby OBE, Director of the School of Public Health, joined Professor Alice P. Gast, President, in conversation discussing “Improving treatments for patients: Why statisticians count” for the latest in Current and Future Women Luminaries conversations.
A dose-finding design for early phase trials with continuous re-assessment
Suzie Cro and Pavel Mozgunov
June 20, 2020
Dr Pavel Mozgunov and Dr Suzie Cro present the novel design for an early phase dose finding trial in opiate detoxification. The design uses an adaptive Bayesian model to generate patient specific doses of baclofen to describe based on individuals methadone levels.
