Statistical Methods for Contemporary Clinical Trials

Leila is a research fellow and senior clinical trial statistician at Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU). She is currently working on the TREAT trial – an interesting Bayesian non-inferiority trial to treat Severe paediatric asthma and the COVBOOST, a trial to establish the reactogenicity and immunogenicity of booster vaccinations against SARS-CoV2. Her current methodological research focused on using adaptive analysis for late-phase trials in critical care.
Leila completed a BSc in Statistics followed by a MSc and Ph.D. in Biostatistics and has also completed her MBA certificate program. She started working as an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at Iran University of Medical Sciences immediately after she obtained her Ph.D. degree in 2015 and was promoted to associate level after 4 years. Additionally, she has worked as a Head of Biostatistics Unit, Clinical Trial Center (CTC), Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
